Thematic Learning
At The Nurtury, we integrate thematic learning into our curriculum to make education more relatable and engaging for children. Each month, a new theme is introduced to guide our activities and lessons. For instance, our “Green Day” celebration introduced children to the color green through nature walks, plant watering, and craft activities using green objects. Our gallery showcases these fun-filled days where children experience hands-on learning about colors, shapes, seasons, and cultural festivals.
Our themed activities provide a multisensory learning experience, which helps children grasp concepts more effectively. The joy of discovery is evident in the faces of our children as they learn new things every day through play and exploration.
Creative Craft Time
Art and craft are integral to early childhood development as they allow children to express themselves and develop fine motor skills. In our gallery, you’ll see little hands engaged in activities like finger painting, clay modeling, and drawing, helping them explore their creativity.
Our craft sessions are often linked to the themes and concepts we are learning in class. For example, during our traffic light lesson, children created their own traffic signals using simple materials. Outdoor Fun and Exploration
Outdoor play is an essential part of our daily routine at The Nurtury. The natural environment serves as a classroom where children can explore, run, jump, and play. In our gallery, you’ll see children enjoying a variety of outdoor games that promote physical activity and develop their gross motor skills.
Whether it’s a sunny day in the playground, a nature walk exploring plants , or an outdoor sports event, the smiles on the children’s faces reflect the freedom and joy they experience in the open air. We firmly believe that spending time outdoors helps children connect with nature, improve their physical well-being, and strengthen their social skills through unstructured play.
Celebrating Special Occasions
At The Nurtury, we celebrate special days and festivals with enthusiasm. Our gallery offers snapshots from these celebrations where children are dressed in colorful outfits, participating in cultural events and traditional activities. From Diwali and Christmas to Independence Day and Earth Day, each celebration is an opportunity for our children to learn about different cultures, traditions, and values.
Our recent Independence Day celebration, for example, was filled with vibrant energy as children participated in a fancy dress event, sang patriotic songs, and made tricolour sandwiches. These events are not only enjoyable but also teach children about the significance of the festivals and occasions in a fun and engaging manner.
